Cast of Characters
Action Andy- husband, father of two, biggest kid in the neighborhood (Can Mr. Andy come out and play baseball with us?)
Christina- me, wife, mother of the same two, sees the story in everything and is overwhelmed trying to write it all down.
Jacob a.k.a. Jake- first born, second grade, 8 years old, all-American boy. He likes baseball, Legos, Star Wars and trains.
Zachary a.k.a Zach or Bebe- the caboose on this family's train, first grade, age 7, our different dolphin. He likes Kit Kats, Crispix, slides, swings and swimming.

ReplyDeleteChristina!? Did you make that? It's almost too beautiful to be eaten (although I imagine I'd find a way...). I'm suddenly feeling inadequate as a mother!
ReplyDeleteGale- he loved it and had a hard time waiting for all 24 guests to arrive so we could eat it. Zach stood guard over it until time to sing and eat.
ReplyDeleteKristen- hold up there feeling inadequate and let me explain! Although there was a time when I would have made (or tried to make) this myself and obsessed over every detail, I've grown up a bit. I have a favorite bakery lady at my near-by grocery store. I explained that I wanted a white on white cake and the icing needed to be fun and scroll-y. She did a great job. I did the 7 and added the M&M's. We ate the entire cake and it was delicious, butter cream frosting:)
Happy Birthday to Zach, that's an amazing cake there. I loved your remark in your last post, "My how I've grown." Isn't that the truth, how our children expand our world.

ReplyDeleteMmmmmm. This cake sums u up! Creative, practical, and FUN! Why waste time making a cake these days when u can buy this and still get credit making it personal. Please post a photo of the green cupcake snake u designed for us too! U r my inspiration! By the way, I should b asleep but ur blog is too hard to stop reading!
